Terms and conditions

These terms apply to bookings made on blackfern.ro. Please read them before paying. By completing a booking you confirm that you have read and accept them. The Romanian version of these terms prevails.

We rent out, short-term, the Blackfern cabin at Poiana Mărului 1032, Brașov County, Romania, for up to 4 guests, with an optional private chef service. The description, photos and amenities are shown on the booking page.

3. Booking and conclusion of the contract

• You choose the dates, number of guests and options, then enter your contact details.
• Payment is made in full, online, by card, through the payment processor Stripe.
• The contract is concluded once the payment is confirmed. You then receive a confirmation email with the booking details.
• The booking must be made by a person aged at least 18 who will be present during the stay.

4. Prices and payment

• Prices are shown in Romanian lei (RON) and are final. The total is shown before you confirm the booking.
• The nightly rate is 450 RON; the private chef service costs 200 RON per stay.
• Card details are entered directly on Stripe’s secure page and are not stored by us.

5. Cancellation by the guest

• At least 14 days before check-in: you get a full refund.
• Less than 14 days before check-in, and in case of a no-show: the amount paid is not refunded.
• Leaving before the check-out date does not entitle you to a refund of the remaining nights.
• To cancel, contact us by email or phone using the details above. The cancellation date is the date we receive your request.
• Refunds are made to the card used for payment within 14 days of cancellation. How quickly the money appears depends on your bank.

6. Cancellation by us

If, for reasons beyond your control, we cannot provide the accommodation (for example serious damage or force majeure), we will let you know as soon as possible and refund the full amount paid.

7. Right of withdrawal

Under Art. 16(l) of Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance 34/2014 (implementing Directive 2011/83/EU), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services provided on a specific date or for a specific period. The cancellation terms in section 5 apply instead.

8. Your stay

• Check-in and check-out times and the self check-in instructions are sent in the confirmation email or before arrival.
• The number of guests may not exceed the number declared when booking or the cabin’s maximum capacity.
• Please use the cabin and its amenities with care and follow the house rules provided on arrival. The guest who made the booking is liable for damage caused during the stay, other than normal wear and tear.

9. Liability

We are responsible for providing the booked services as required by law. We are not liable for personal belongings left unattended or for force majeure.

10. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something is not right, contact us using the details in section 1. We aim to resolve every issue amicably.

If we cannot reach a solution, you can contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), including through its Alternative Dispute Resolution procedure: reclamatiisal.anpc.ro. Disputes that are not settled amicably fall under the jurisdiction of the Romanian courts.

11. Governing law

These terms and the accommodation contract are governed by Romanian law.
